Meat Pond
Meat Pond is a browser-based game / sim where you can sit back and watch abstract pixel fish composed of elemental pixels eat each other, or plants, or both (omnivores) depending on their genetics, they give birth, kill, die, there's crabs/shrimp/lobsters on the bottom and birds on the top. Seasons come and go. Ice freezes, plant burns, meat feeds. Figure it out thru play. sillycannibalfish.gif
Some logic to notice:
Summer is the season of carnivores. "Shark week" as I call it.
Ice layer in winter prevents birds from getting under water to eat fish. so they tend to migrate away.
Large crabs can be quite aggressive towards small fish.
Sometimes maps reach equilibrium and every fish is a veg eater or a calm omnivore, and the pond is full of nutrients and fish and nobody's really doing much. In cases like this just spawn a fish (click and hold) until you get a shark or something if youre bored.

important FAQ:
Mobile? Yes.
Small Screen or Big Screen? no problem.
Big one!!
Why the mic permission?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?
Because there's a music/audio visualizer with shapes and colors connected to the background and the fish. You don't have to turn on the mic at all, but the option is there. it listens and matches highs and lows in sound to colors and movement on screen. It's not connected to the internet, and the game doesn't save data in any way.
